To help The Royal British Legion with its fundraising in these difficult times Goff Petroleum pledged to make a donation of £1 for every order placed by customers on Nov 11th.
Will Goff explained
"One of our team highlighted to me the challenges that the Royal British Legion were having in fundraising this year. The restrictions and vulnerability of individuals meant that there was no way the usual street collections could be done safely.
We thought we could help spread awareness of the continued importance of Remembrance Day and the work the Royal British Legion carries out by holding a fundraising day with us making a donation for each order taken."
"Thanks so much to our fantastic customers for getting behind this fundraiser and with your support we were delighted to be able to donate £782."
Due to the current Covid Lockdown restrictions Ann Rogerson from the Wymondham branch of The Royal British Legion was not able to collect the cheque in person. When we shared our target smashing success with her on the phone she was as pleased as we were.
"2020 and the challenges we have faced this year have been tough for all those who need to raise charitable funds. Our Poppy Appeal was very different this year with no street collections or boxes in shops. Goff Petroleum’s fundraising endeavours are really appreciated by all those at the Royal British Legion."
