The month that England was hit by the Beast from the East will make March 2018 go down in history.
It was a cold, wet and generally cloudy month with significant drifting snowfall on the 1st,2nd and 3rd. The temperature remained below 0°C for the first 2 days of month meaning that transport was disrupted firstly by drifting snow and later by flooding caused by the thaw.
