Many thanks to all those who took part in our most recent good causes voting. We were staggered by the number of votes received by the charities that had been nominated. More than 10000 individuals showed their support and we are delighted to announce that
Beds for Bullies
the Bull Terrier Rescue centre in Wisbech St Mary, is the winner of our Animal Good Causes vote.
As the poll was so well supported, with Beds for Bullies taking more than half the votes, we've decided to double the prize to 1,000 litres of heating oil. This should keep more paws warm this winter.
Special Staff Prize
Many of our staff are animal lovers and followed the poll closely. One post in the facebook comments section amazed the team:
"The Suffolk Punch Trust are helping to preserve a native horse to the UK that is rarer than the giant panda!"
And as result of that comment they have awarded the Suffolk Punch Trust a special staff prize of 500 litres of heating oil to assist in the work they do.
