Over the decades Goff have delivered heating oil to many different tanks in some very unusual locations. With this vast experience we have tailored our fleet of oil delivery tankers to satisfy as many of the needs of the home heating oil user as possible. Goff use the most compact and manoeuvrable bulk tankers available and many carry extra long delivery hoses.

• Question 02

  Yes. A properly set up and maintained system should not be effected by the change in the amount of heating oil in your tank. If a delivery causes your appliance to stop working it is not operating correctly.

• Question 03

  If our driver can gain access to the heating oil tank safely then he will do his utmost to deliver your heating oil. If there are special circumstances regarding the delivery we will do our best. If you have any doubt please ask when you place your order.

• Question 04

  All our heating oil deliveries are made through the meter on the lorry. All meters are set, sealed, and checked by Trading Standards. The delivery ticket will have recorded on it the appropriate meter readings.

• Question 05

  Read answer Hide answer How far can the tank be from the tanker?

  The heating oil tank should be no further than 150 feet from the position where the delivery tanker is expected to park. This is a maximum distance and must be in a straight line. If the course of the delivery hose is bent, or has to go round a number of corners, e.g. the side of a house, then the maximum distance is reduced. Our drivers will always attempt to make a safe delivery, and will often consider a number of options to get as close to the tank as possible.

  Unfortunately we cannot fill a tank if the delivery hose cannot reach it. If you would like a driver to assess your the tank location then please do not hesitate to call.

• Question 06

  Unfortunately a tank that needs to be accessed by taking the hose through a residential space is not considered safe and insurance prevents us from undertaking or facilitating a delivery of this type.

• Question 07

  Read answer Hide answer Can You Deliver to an Underground, or Non Standard, Tank, or an IBC?

  All our drivers are trained to make checks prior to starting a delivery. If, during these checks, the receiving tank is found to be unsafe, not fit for purpose, or does not meet the statutory requirements, e.g. an IBC, then a delivery cannot be made.

  If a driver cannot inspect the tank and gauge, nor see what is going on at the tank when he is delivering, then he cannot make a delivery safely. He would have to decline such a delivery. 

• Question 09

  Unfortunately, due to Health and Safety rules, we are unable to deliver fuel to any tank that is not securely erected on the ground. This means we are unable to deliver to a houseboat.

  The smallest order you can place is 500 litres. The meter on the delivery tanker will record and print the volume of fuel delivered to your tank.
